A CITES permit is valid for only one shipment and must include specific details, such as the title of the Convention, the Minister's stamp, and a unique number. The permit is not transferable, and any changes must be authorized by the Minister.

2. Procedures to be followed when CITES specimen are imported, exported or introduced from the sea

Anyone authorized to handle wildlife specimens under CITES must report their actions to the CITES Office within 14 days, and the Minister can require permit holders to keep records and report on the management of the wildlife.
