| Description: 12. (1) A person may not import telecommunications equipment referred to in regulation 3(2) into Namibia unless the person seeking to import such equipment into, or use it in, (2) An application for the authorisation referred to in subregulation (1) must – (a) substantially be in the form and containing the information set out in Form 3; (3) The Authority may grant an application for the authorisation referred to in subregulation (1) if Form 3 is complete in all respects and is accompanied by the information or (4) The Authority may in writing extend the period referred to in subregulation (2)(e) upon the written application and on good cause shown by the person to whom the authorisation (5) Upon termination of the period referred to in subregulation (2)(e), the person to whom the authorisation referred to in subregulation (1) has been granted must provide written (6) A person who contravenes subregulation (5) commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding N$ 50 000 or imprisonment for a period of 12 months or both such fine and such imprisonment. |
