Description:

Sections 2(1) (b) and 3 of the Import and Export Control Act, Act 30 of 1994 requires every importer and exporter whose goods are subject to import or export licensing to first obtain an import or export permit before importing into or exporting outside Namibia.

Required documents for applying for import permit of secondhand vehicles 1. Certified Copy ID/Passport/Permanent Resident Permit 2. Invoice, Bill of loading, Packing list 3. Invoice or pro-forma invoice with full details; 4. Cancellation Certificate, Registration Certificate, Deregistration Certificate or Export Certificate; 5. Registration Certificate - CC or PTY Ltd or Sole Trader; Company Registration documents; copy of ID or Passport of owners Registration certificate; deregistration certificate from the country of export, which must be fully translated into English by a legitimate sworn translator; 6. Proof of payment/transfer of funds.
MUST BE DELETED 1. A fully completed completed Application form from the Ministry of Industrialisation and Trade 2. Certified copy of ID or Passport 3. Companies are required to provide proof of registration with the Registrar of Companies( certified copy of the Founding Statement/Memorandum of articles of Association/Sole Trader defensive Certificate/CM29) 4. Pro-forma/Tax invoice with full details 5. Other accompanying documents for consignment (e.g Packing list/Inventory sheet, SARS Exchange rate sheet, MSDS/Material Safety Data Sheet etc.) The following documents are required when applying for import permit for second hand vehicles. 1. Pro-forma/Tax invoice with full details 2. Cancellation Certificate, Registration Certificate, Deregistration certificate or Export certificate 3. Bill of loading 4. Certified copy of ID or Passport or Permanent Residents 5. Registration certificate (CC or (Pty) Ltd or Sole Trader) Company registration documents and copy of ID/Passport for owners registration certificate/de-registration certificate from country of export must be fully translated in English 6.Proof of payment
