Application for Export permit of Exporting petroleum

Description:

Anyone who wants to export petroleum products into Namibia must have a wholesale licence, and an export permit (issued by the Ministry of Trade and Industry) under the Import and Export Control Act, 1994 (unless such import is from within the customs union). The Ministry of Trade and Industry will only issue an import/export permit upon approval of such request by the Ministry of Mines and Energy.

Process Steps

Enter credentials on the system
Uploads the required documents, i.e. ID for individuals or Company registration documents
Verify and Reject Trader Registration Sends Notification via SMS/Verification and Approve Trader Registration Send Notification via SMS
Trader Logs in to the Portal for Permit Application
MIT Verification of information duly completed on the application form and the supporting documents
MIT Head of Division verifies the information and signs the permit
MIT Head of Division verifies the information and signs the permit 2 Days
Trader uploads supporting documents such as export licence from MME and invoice.
