Import Permit VALIDITY OF VETERIVARY IMPORT PERMITS AND VETERINARY IMPORT PERMITS FOR CONVEYANVE IN-TRANSIT i. The validity of veterinary import permits and veterinary import permits for conveyance in-transit will be indicated on each specific permit. All consignments should reach Namibia with valid veterinary import permits or veterinary import permits for conveyance in-transit. ii. The validity of veterinary import permits for conveyance in-transit for consignments entering through the port of Walvis Bay, should also cover the duration which the consignment may stay in a bonded warehouse, dry port or any other DVS authorized facility until they exit Namibia to the country of destination. iii. However, when an in-transit consignment is released for departure from the Namibia entry border/ port of entry e.g form Walvis Bay, Airport or Land border to countries of destination, the validity of the veterinary import permits for conveyance in-transit automatically reduces to seven (7) hours, meaning such a consignment should leave the Namibia territory within seven (7) days.
