For export levy purposes, the value of goods is their "free on board" price, which includes all costs up to the point of export, and if no such price exists, the customs authority will determine the value.

Levy funds will be used to support the meat industry by providing subsidies for livestock exports and premiums for exporting or slaughtering livestock, with Administrator approval.

A person cannot drive a vehicle on public roads if its wheelbase exceeds nine meters for semi-trailers, 15 meters for bus-trains, or eight-and-a-half meters for other vehicles, unless it has the required certification from the inspectorate of manufacturers, builders, importers, and number plate manufacturers.

A re-assessment of export levy can usually only be made within five years of the levy date, but can be extended in cases of court orders, fraud, or if agreed upon by both parties.

The regulator must collect a minimum of six samples annually of each kind of hand sanitizer imported into Namibia from a depot of an importer in Namibia; or manufactured in a manufacturing facility in Namibia, and test the samples to confirm continuous compliance with these regulations.

A person cannot operate a left-hand drive vehicle registered after 1 January 2003 on a public road, unless it is imported or exported for testing, assessment, or development with a special permit.

Before operating an export abattoir, the applicant must first get approval from the Directorate of Veterinary Services (DVS) after pre-approval by the Meat Board of Namibia (MBN). Export of meat products requires registration with the DVS, and abattoir owners must notify the Meat Board early to ensure adequate training for carcass classification.
